This is the Tohoku-Hokkaido Shinkansen and in this episode we’ll ride from Tokyo Station to Shin-Aomori in regular and GRAN CLASS cars eating 7 gourmet ekiben, Japanese Train Food.
The trip took place on a special Shinkansen on April 3rd, 2021 with JR East. I got a present from the company!
Peter and I also sat in the GRAN CLASS for half the trip.
The JR East Pass (Tohoku Area) is 20,000 yen for 5 days of consecutive Shinkansen travel. We used this to film this episode.
