This is a location I’ve come to in Shizuoka for watching the Shinkansen fly by in front of Mt Fuji at high speed. It’s the classic “Welcome to Japan” shot for many movie location shoots here from Hollywood to TV. You can catch them all: Nozomi, Hikari, Kodama — the Tokaido Shinkansen (Bullet Train) crossing the Fuji River. The closest JR station is Fujikawa, one stop from Fuji Station on the local Tokaido Line. It’s a 15-20 min walk to the riverside. Bring your own snacks and drinks. There aren’t any vending machines or convenient stores in the area. Where is this? “Fuji View – Shinkansen” MAP: https://goo.gl/maps/HstQMQTFicgzf2NV7
